NEA: “Commit To Social Justice This Thanksgiving”

NEA: “Commit To Social Justice This Thanksgiving”

The WEA (Washington Education Association), in collaboration with the NEA (National Education Association) wants their members (the teachers of our children) to “Ring in Justice” this holiday season. They don’t want you just to reflect on others outside of your own circle, they demand action!

I think most of us would agree that the holiday season presents a time of reflection and gratitude and compassion for others. In my family we were taught to focus on giving, not receiving. The holidays have always been a time of helping others and counting our many blessings. What the NEA is asking of (I’m assuming) their members, is for them to consider ways that they have marginalized others and how they can stand in solidarity with them in the upcoming year. The NEA wants their members to focus on social justice and how they can do their part. The NEA believes that our country is systemically racist and we must take the opportunity during our holiday celebrations to figure out how we are going to fix it.

There is a clear objective here: turn people into SJWs (social justice warriors) and protestors. This isn’t an opportunity to reflect on your blessings and how you can bless others. It’s about overhauling the society that we have…which is NOT systemically racist. Racism is being kept alive by the radical left. They want us divided. They want us to feel guilty. They want to form factions of oppressed and oppressor. Don’t take the bait and do everything in your power to make sure that your children and children that you impact do not take the bait!

Here’s one suggested mealtime ritual: Include symbols of justice on your table. I rather like the first two ideas. It’s always good for us to remember those who are hungry and those who do not have clean water to drink. But the third suggestion – “to symbolize a way to pierce the silence in the face of all forms of oppression including racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia, misogyny, and homophobia.” Sure, these things are present in our society, but they are not prevalent.

They even put out a call to action with the first action-item being protesting acts of hate. I have a real hard time with this one considering what groups like the NEA and the lying media have to say about “acts of hate.” They make things up to fit this narrative, which is extremely dangerous for our society. We have seen it this week is Waukesha, WI and we’re seeing it in San Francisco in LA as people are looting in the name of racial justice.

This is critical race theory, by another name. The radical left won’t call it that, but that’s what it is. It is becoming more prominent and more blatant. It’s time to call it out for what it is when we see it. This is not just happening in our government schools but also in corporations and places of business.
