March is Women’s History Month, where we commemorate and encourage the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history. In addition to March being Women’s History Month, March 8th is also observed as “International Women’s Day.”
According to internationalwomensday.com we are to “Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
Celebrate women’s achievement. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.”
Color me confused, because I see that USA Today has selected a biological male to be their “woman of the year.” That’s right, USA Today has selected Rachel Lavine, a biological male as their woman of the year. Is this what they’re talking about when they say “equality?” Is this the diverse, equitable and inclusive world they’re talking about?
To add to my confusion, one of the first posts I saw on social media was promoting Womynx History Month. What even is “womynx”? That’s not even a real word and I refuse to play these weird games to make up words because we don’t think we fit societal norms. Call yourself whatever you want, but don’t think the rest of us are going to adopt your fantasy language.
As if it’s not bad enough that makeup companies are using male models with beards to advertise their makeup, now we’ve got women-owned businesses who can’t even use the term “woman.” Because anyone might need menstrual products, we will market them to “bleeders” instead of women.
Rhetorical question: Have these people gone INSANE?!
But wait, that’s not the worst of it.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting on a man who gave birth to a baby boy after a “shock pregnancy.”
I could go on and on, but you get the idea and you’re probably about ready to blow a gasket.
Why do they want to erase women? Why do they want to take away the things that make women unique and special? The same reason they want to take manliness away from our men. It’s the same reason they tell us that fathers aren’t really important in our families.
Women who know their identity in Christ are a force to be reckoned with. I don’t think I’ve ever seen strength like I have of a woman who knows WHO she is, WHOSE she is and what her PURPOSE is. The left doesn’t like that. That’s the primary reason they hate Christianity. People who know their identity in Jesus Christ are very difficult to control – because we answer to God and God alone. This is why the left will do everything they can to attack Christianity and to attack those who know their identity.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10
Confusion is a tactic of the enemy. Women and men who are rooted in Christ are not confused and they are not easy to confuse.
We must stand for truth. We must pray for those who do not know their true identity. We cannot be silent when we see these news stories in our social media, in our workplaces, in our schools. We must speak truth in love, and we must never compromise.
