It is heavy on my heart just to write this post. It’s hard for me to fathom how elected leaders could be so committed to ending the lives of unborn children, living in what is supposed to be the safest place on earth…their mother’s womb.
On Tuesday, January 24th, our state legislature will hold hearings on SIX different pro-abortion bills. These bills are being heard in 5 different committees at the same time! Gotta hand it to the radical left PRO ABORTION Democrats, this strategy makes it nearly impossible for prolife groups like CLW to testify against these horrific bills. But we are up for the task, and we have an army of ladies who are covering each of these bills and testifying in each committee on Tuesday.
WE NEED YOU!! It’s important that each of us who values the right to life is on record, letting our elected officials know that we do NOT agree with this agenda. Even if you are pro-choice, you likely believe that abortion should have some guardrails and not be “on demand”, at any time during the pregnancy and for any reason. If that’s you, we need your voice as well. The laws that Washington state has enacted in the last few years have made it very dangerous for women – our laws allow a wide range of “providers” to perform abortion with NO liability! A provider could injure or kill a woman and there is no legal recourse.
Below are SIX different bills that need your CON position noted for the legislative record.
SJR 8202: Amending the Constitution to address reproductive freedom.
SB 5242: Prohibiting cost sharing for abortion
Essentially this means that there can be no co-pay or out of pocket expense for abortion, meaning that taxpayers would fund or private insurance companies would be on the hook – passing that along to subscribers, of course.
SB 5260: Protecting and assisting Washington employers that provide access to, or benefits for, reproductive health care services.
SB 5489: Concerning access to reproductive health care services (ABORTION) and gender-affirming treatment (gender changing surgeries) in Washington state.
*Companion bill on the House side HB 1469
HB 1469: Concerning access to reproductive health care services and gender-affirming treatment in Washington state.
*Companion bill on the Senate side SB 5489
