Parental Rights

Parental Rights

Parental rights are a fundamental and inalienable aspect of individual liberty and family integrity. The ability of parents to make decisions for their children’s upbringing, education, healthcare, and overall well-being is rooted in the recognition that parents are the primary stakeholders in the lives of their children. This foundational principle acknowledges the importance of family bonds, and it upholds the values of personal responsibility and individual choice.

Parents are uniquely positioned to understand their children’s needs, values, and aspirations. As individuals who have brought these lives into the world and are devoted to their growth, parents possess an intimate knowledge that allows them to make informed decisions that resonate with their family’s beliefs, culture, and circumstances.

Respecting and protecting parental rights prevents government agencies from intervening unnecessarily in family matters and ensures that families remain at the core of child-rearing decisions.

While society has a role in safeguarding children’s welfare, it is crucial to recognize that parents are inherently vested with the deepest concern for their children’s growth and happiness. Protecting parental rights means allowing parents to make decisions that reflect their deeply held beliefs, culture, and values, as long as those decisions do not harm the child’s well-being. We have witnessed an assault on parental rights on a Federal and state level across the country. Parents ARE the primary stakeholders in their children’s lives and we must fight to protect and RESTORE these rights.
