Battle Strategy

In my last post, Prepare For Battle, I talked about the plethora of issues facing Americans today that threaten our freedom, our families, our livelihoods and more. The severity and number of issues we face is overwhelming and greatly concerning, if not downright scary. We are seeing a reckless, overreaching government that is likely to change America as we know it.

Unless…

As a Christian, I believe in the God of the impossible. I know that God can do more than we can possibly even imagine. God has blessed this great country and I believe He can save it. That said, God is not going to wave a magic wand and make this all better. We will have to do our part and we must act with wisdom, discernment and strategy. I believe He has called us “for such a time as this.”

I see fear and panic gripping conservatives and freedom-loving Americans across our nation. When we are in a place of fear and panic, we usually don’t make the best decisions. We need to be strategic, which means we need to be calm, composed and courageous. We are in a battle that is not going to be won quickly and it’s important to prepare ourselves for the long haul. We didn’t get here overnight and we won’t get out tomorrow.

The biggest threat to our strategy that I see – well, two things: 1) Distraction and 2) Division.

There are so many big issues facing us today that it is easy for us to lose focus on what’s most critical. In our panic we grasp at anything we think we might be able to control. Such as, masking our kids at school. This is a problem and concern for many parent, no doubt, but it takes our eyes off things in the schools that are even greater threats to our families and parental rights. Such as: Critical Race Theory, Comprehensive Sex Ed, the LGBTQIA agenda and vaccine clinics in our schools.

We’ve all heard the phrase: “pick your battles wisely.” It is critical in this time that we do just this. We need to take a 30,000 foot view of everything that is going on and strategically fight the issues that are the greatest threats. We must become laser focused and avoid distraction at all costs. Distraction is a strategy of the enemy. And our enemy is actively using this strategy. Stop falling for it.

Division amongst likeminded people is another huge threat to our strategy. Among the conservatives, groups have different areas of focus and each of these groups seems to think every other group of people should take up their cause with equal fervor. “We must unify”, they cry! Everyone is going to differ in what issues and causes they are passionate about. That’s because we all have different situations and life experiences. And that’s not a bad thing. We have a lot of ground to cover, so it’s necessary to have different groups working on different issues. Where we must come together is that we are all AMERICANS who love this country, who stand by the US Constitution and who are willing to do our part to fight to keep the freedoms we hold so dear. The Constitution is our foundation and protecting it must be our common goal, above all else.

If we can overcome our tendency to distraction and division and come together to create a clear strategy, we can win. In order to create an effective strategy, we must educate our people. We must teach our people how we got here in the first place and their role in helping us work our way out. So many on the right have been busy building their businesses, growing their families, being involved in their church – enjoying the blessings of being an American. As a result, we haven’t been as informed and active in our government as we should have been (*raising hand*). Many on the right don’t know the process and don’t understand what they can do to help. So let’s fix that.

When the people are educated they are equipped for the battle. Right now, we’re not equipped. As we get our people educated, they’ll be empowered to do their part to fight this battle. We also need to encourage people to get involved. Many people are apathetic – and it’s understandable. If we continue in our apathy and have an attitude of “what good is it to even try, the Democrats don’t listen anyway”, we will continue to see them take over our state and our country.

It’s time to buckle up and prepare for a long battle. We must encourage one another, lift each other up and stand firm in our mission.
