JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself)

JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself)

Psalm 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

Joy is the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying.

The Bible has many examples of how Christ was constantly thinking of others and being a help to them. Focusing on God’s Word and His goodness is the first step in bringing joy into your life. When we fix our hearts on Christ, He will give us joy because He is the source of all joy.

Romans 15:13 says “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others. The more you help others, the more blessing you receive so you can continue helping more people. When we focus on serving others, we are grateful to our Lord for all that he has done and give us. He has given us so much more than we deserve.

There are many ways to invest in the lives of your family, friends and community. Showing people that you care for them will have a great impact on how they interact or treat other people. The way you choose to live your life will have an affect on your joy. You experience pure joy while you are investing in the life of someone else.

There will be times when you don’t feel like spreading joy or being joyful. In those moments, let God restore your joy by seeking Him in prayer. He has promised to provide, protect and guide us throughout our lives. In difficult times, Philippians 4:4 says “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”

The answer to having a fulfilled, joyful life is to live your life to be a blessing to others.

Determine to display joy in your life everyday!

Psalm 35:9

And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.”
