Since the original posting of this article, the Salvation Army has pulled their 67 page “resource” on racism off the web. We are leaving the link in the article in hopes it will be restored. We have edited this article to add more screenshots from the resource that is no longer available for you to view. We strongly encourage you to find other charities for your donations.
The radical left continues to push their social agenda further and further. But how far is “too far?” At what point do average, everyday American liberal democrats decide it’s gone too far?
Yesterday, on Thanksgiving Day, The Daily Wire reported on a campaign by The Salvation Army: “Let’s Talk About Racism.” In the resource provided by The Salvation Army are calls for white Christians to repent and offer a “sincere apology” to blacks for being antagonistic to values, culture and interests of the black community.
I make it a habit during the holiday season to carry small bills in my coat pocket so that when I’m leaving the grocery store, I can drop a few in the red bucket and exchange pleasantries with the kind worker ringing the bell. I’ve always felt like this is a small way for folks to make a big difference and let’s be honest, that red bucket and ringing bell are really “sounds of the season.” What is Christmas without the Salvation Army’s red bucket?!
But now the Salvation Army has produced a 67-page resource to “talk about racism” and essentially tell all white Christian people how racist they are and that they need to profusely apologize for their wrong doings. Nope. I ain’t doing it. Quite frankly, I am sick and tired of this effort to keep racism alive and thriving in America and until more people stand up and speak out against this, it will continue to spread like wildfire.
Make no mistake, this is Critical Race Theory. The left will not call it that, but that’s exactly what it is. CRT is teaching the idea that America is systemically racist. This is what we’re seeing in institutions across our country – corporations, public schools, colleges and even in “Christian” organizations such as The Salvation Army. I’d like to point out that this is not new, the left has been slowly pushing this anti-racism/CRT for decades. It’s becoming more prevalent and more blatant, and the American people are waking up to it, especially in light of Covid. In fact, The Salvation Army’s statement on racism dates to 2017…possibly earlier.
The Salvation Army is not only asking white people to repent, but they are also offering to teach more about “whiteness” and how we are inherently privileged simply for being white.
I won’t be putting money in the red bucket this holiday season and I will make sure to nicely let the workers know exactly why as I hope they will hear this from many people and will report back to the “higher ups.” I hope that you will join me in not giving another dime to this organization. There are many charities that would be very grateful for your donation, and you won’t have to apologize for the color of your skin or be accused of being a racist simply because you are white. I also have to wonder…will this call for repentance be something that wakes up some of our friends on the other side?
A highly reliable source tells me that Charity Navigator is a great resource to use for researching charities you are considering for your donations.
