Yesterday the U.S. Department of Justice announced a new initiative to address “harassment, intimidation and threats of violence” against school board members, teachers and workers in our public schools.
the Justice Department will launch a series of additional efforts in the coming days designed to address the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel. Those efforts are expected to include the creation of a task force, consisting of representatives from the department’s Criminal Division, National Security Division, Civil Rights Division, the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, the FBI, the Community Relations Service and the Office of Justice Programs, to determine how federal enforcement tools can be used to prosecute these crimes, and ways to assist state, Tribal, territorial and local law enforcement where threats of violence may not constitute federal crimes.
This is just 5 days after the National School Board Association sent a letter to Joe Biden asking for a Federal investigation into these “domestic terrorists”, aka parents.
Last week, Conservative Ladies of Washington joined with Parents Defending Education to send a response to the NSBA.
Make no mistake, this is yet another attempt to silence concerned parents who refuse to go along with the radical left agenda. We do not advocate violence in any form. We DO stand up and speak up for our rights as parents and citizens to peacefully protest and to have our voices heard by our elected officials (in this case, the school board members). We cannot afford to be silent on this. Our children and our parental authority are under attack.
