Every year in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, the Fremont Summer Solstice Parade takes place on the street my family’s business has been on since before I was even born. I feel like I have had an awareness of this event for as long as I can remember. The Solstice Parade is primarily the gay community and those who want to participate in support. The event features naked bicyclists, which always implied that this event was intended for adults. And it was.
As time went on and the “gay rights” movement gained momentum, the events in the Seattle neighborhoods started to grow. Mostly in the Capital Hill neighborhood – you didn’t really see it in the single family home neighborhoods where children were almost always present and parks were numerous.
As I became an adult and a mother myself, I lived in these Seattle neighborhoods with my daughter. There was never an issue. These events never targeted children and were strictly for adults. It wasn’t even really a question.
I think it’s safe to say that the “Pride Movement” has been hijacked by a communist agenda that is set on indoctrinating, confusing and manipulating young children, especially. Almost every small town now has some sort of “pride” event that is targeted to children. These events are designed to encourage and normalize men dressing up as women, women dressing up as men and to give children the idea that they can choose their gender…or even change their gender from day to day depending on their mood.
A scroll through my Twitter timeline this morning showed tweet after tweet of government agencies, politicians, and NGOs wishing me a “Happy Pride.”

It’s important to ask ourselves why this push for pride by people in positions of power? Whether it be power in government, people in positions of authority over children in schools, celebrities, and social media influencers – across the board in our society, these people are pushing “pride” on young children especially, but you’d have to live in a cave not to notice how many adults seem to have drunk the Kool-Aid…probably many people you never would have imagined would do so.
The push for pride is an agenda to manipulate, control and create chaos and confusion, primarily in our children. It is also a blatant attempt to destroy the nuclear family. The communist agenda must destroy the nuclear family because it is the very thing that stands in its way.
They have grossly underestimated the power of God, the Creator of Life. You see, God created humans, fathers, and mothers, to have the innate nature to protect our children. It’s in our DNA. It’s how we are designed…very intentionally. God wired us to protect our children at all costs. Even when they drive us absolutely insane, most every parent I know would still lay their life down to spare their child without giving it a second thought. That unconditional love of a parent for a child is the closest thing we humans can experience to how great God’s love and sacrifice is for each of us.
The enemy knows that the parent is a force to reckon with. That’s why he wants you distracted. That’s why he wants you scared – scared to speak out, scared to lose your job, scared of being called names, scared the neighbors won’t speak to you. That’s why he has packaged “pride” as a movement of love with pretty rainbow colors…stealing God’s symbol of promise. The enemy is not dumb, but he’s no match for God.
And he’s overplayed his hand. As a result, the hibernation is over. Everyday parents are waking up to this evil agenda to “steal, kill and destroy” (John 10:10) humanity by targeting our children. Everyday parents are standing up in protection of the innocence of their children.
What does standing up look like?
It looks like parents deciding to remove their children from government school and making the time and financial sacrifice to homeschool or private school instead.
It’s mothers saying they refuse to shop at Target if they’re going to put baby onesies and “tuck friendly” bathing suits next to the children’s section (or anywhere in the store for that matter.)
It’s families taking their vacation somewhere besides Disney because now princesses have mustaches and Adam’s apples, and their little girls just want to meet a princess who doesn’t have a penis.
Standing up also looks like supporting organizations, corporations and brands that align with your values. Seeking out and supporting smaller companies that are doing the right thing and respecting the role of parents in the family and society at large.
Standing up means putting yourself between the evil communist agendas and your child. Hibernation is over. Mama and papa bears need to rise and be the protectors that God designed us all to be. It is critical for the survival of our families, our society, and our nation. The culture war is the most important battle of our time and it’s going to take each one of us to engage in the fight. It won’t be comfortable, and it won’t be easy. Doing the right thing is often the difficult thing.
We were created to do difficult things. And God placed us intentionally in this place and time. Let us rise up out of our slumber and speak bold truth and never back down!
